What are AP exams?
AP exams are standardized exams designed to measure how well you’ve mastered the content and skills of a specific AP course.
Am I required to take the AP exam?
No. AP exams are optional.
Why should I take the AP exam?
Students may earn college credit based on the score they earn on the AP exam. Go to https://apstudents.collegeboard.org/getting-credit-placement/search-policies to see how scores transfer to colleges and universities.
When and where are the exams?
During the school day (see schedule below) at Hastings High School in May.
Are the AP exams digital or paper and pencil?
Digital: English Language, English Literature, US History, Computer Science Principles
Paper and Pencil: Everything else
How much does it cost?
The cost is $60 per exam. Students who receive educational benefits (free or reduced lunch) will have their exam fee waived.
Can I get testing accommodations for AP exams?
Yes. Students who are on a 504, IEP, EL, or have medical documentation can request accommodations through the College Board. If you believe you may be eligible for accommodations, contact Ms. Marietta at [email protected].
How do I register for AP exams?
Online registration is through Total Registration at www.TotalRegistration.net/AP/241050
When do I register for AP exams?
Online registration through Total Registration opens on October 13th and closes on November 13th.
