Schedule Changes

POLICY:
Students CAN NOT:  1. Rearrange classes within their schedules 2. Request specific teachers or class periods 3. Request a different lunch period 

OPTIONS:

ADD: Change an elective class Electives can not be added after the second day of each semester. This does not include study halls.
DROP: Drop a class and add a study hall Study halls can be added within the first 20 days of each semester. 9th and 10 grade students can not have more than one study hall each semester. 11th and 12th grade students can not have more than two study halls each semester. 
LEVEL CHANGE: Move up or down a level within a subject area (e.g. Geometry to Honors Geometry) Level changes can be made within the first 20 days of each semester. Check course prerequisites in the HHS Course Guide. Students must talk to their current teacher BEFORE requesting a level change.

DEADLINES:
Deadline to ADD classes:

2nd day of each semester
Deadline to make a LEVEL CHANGE: 20th day of each semester
Deadline to DROP a class to a study hall: 20th day of each semester

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
 It is the STUDENT'S RESPONSIBILITY to make sure the schedule change does not affect graduation requirements or NCAA eligibility.
Seniors: Schedule changes may affect college admissions decisions. Before changing a schedule, it is the students’ responsibility to check with the admissions office of any college to which they have applied or been accepted to see if the change will affect their admission standing.

HOW DO I REQUEST A SCHEDULE CHANGE?

If you would like to request a schedule change, complete the Google Form (see below). If the change request is possible, you will see the schedule change reflected on your Infinite Campus portal within 48 hours. If you do not see the change, you can assume the request can not be honored.
